GM / Sr. GM – Mechanical (Head of Mechanical Dept.)

Qualification – BE/ B.Tech – Mechanical
Experience – 20 to 25 years in the Construction Industry

The Role and Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be from the construction industry and have hands-on experience of handling the entire gamut of the Mechanical dept. There are two position for this post one will be based at Head Office, Pune and other will be based at Mumbai / Navi Mumbai and will be in charge of the Mechanical dept. across the regions.
  • Mechanical Engineer with 20 to 25 years’ experience in Maintenance and Operation of Construction Plant & Equipment in a large construction project of a similar nature.
  • The candidate should have hands-on experience and also be in a leadership position on the activities and gamut of Maintenance and Operation, viz. Installation, testing and commissioning of plant and machinery, Construction equipment. The work experience should include ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of construction equipment, plant and machinery and transport vehicles viz.
  • Preventive and Breakdown maintenance of vehicles/construction equipment.

Operations & Maintenance:

  • Scheduling the time for preventive maintenance, regularly maintaining cranes; planning and effecting predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for various equipment to increase machine uptime & equipment reliability.

Erection & Commissioning:

  • Commissioning the equipment/machinery related to Precast Factory, Batching Plants and other plants, etc.
  • Carry out installation & commissioning, operation & maintenance, mobilization of plant & machineries.
  • Anchoring the erection & commissioning of machines & equipment and ensuring completion of the project in minimum turnaround time, effective resource utilisation to maximise the output for the following:

Head – Electrical ( Dy. GM/ GM )

Qualification  : BE. Electrical

Experience :  25+ years in construction industry with minimum 5-7 years’ experience  as head Electrical in construction company

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The  person  shall be   head of Electrical Dept  and responsible for implementations and monitoring of entire gamut of / all electrical-related works including LV works like FAPA / IBMS, Lifts etc.at the sites / Project / HO across the Company.  To  Coordinate with Client / Consultants for any site instructions and inspection of works related with entire.
  • To co-ordinate with various Electrical Contractors for Electrification, Execution,  Erection  and Commissioning
  • He should  be capable  and has  attitude  and   should be competent enough to co-ordinate with the Project & HO teams  for accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical groups at the site  and  maintain  the Project Targets COST, QUALITY  & DELIVERY.

He / She should possess the following attributes / skills / experience:

  • Hands-on experience of planning, designing, estimation, execution, liaising with concerned authorities / clients, maintenance, repair, system upgradation etc. of entire gamut of Building related Electrical systems / works including HT, LT, IE, LV systems etc. Out of which at least last 5 years should be in a leadership role.
  • Planning, Controlling, supervising , Monitoring, Supporting  and directing  the team – Electrical Engineering  for the Dept.  responsibilities
  • Tender working & documentation, preparation and submission of the electrical Engineer  aspect data
  • The person must have hands on  experience  of co-ordinating with various Electrical Contractors for Electrification, Execution,  Erection  and Commissioning
  • Compliances of all electrical norms as stipulated in various standards (Tender conditions, Laws legislations and IMS conditions)
  • Monitoring and Approving the works executed by the contractor
  • Planning of electrical material requirement across the Projects / regions   e. advance planning
  • Has to be fully conversant with all applicable statutory rules / regulations / bylaws of the geographies in which we operate.
  • Has to be knowledgeable about NBC / IE and other applicable codes.
  • Should have hands on experience of obtaining heavy duty electrical connection / load sanction from the concerned local / State Authorities for both temporary and permanent electrical connection / load sanction.
  • Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans and existing conditions, determining needs to accomplish operational plans, mapping solutions, updating and modifying requirements and solutions, and preparing cost estimates and budgets
  • Completes electrical projects by supervising installations and resolving design issues
  • Monitors all engineering, design, 3D CAD and CAD drafting activities to assure conformance with Client and/or Company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice.
  • Develop proposals, concept designs, and trade studies for projects. Prepare and present technical aspects of projects during internal and external design reviews.
  • Ensure coordination with other Dept . Site Execution  ,the Project  team .
  • Develop methods and procedures to improve efficiency of the electrical Dept  across the Regions / Projects
  • Monitoring and Approving the works executed by the contractor
  • Assures that every effort is made to meet the project schedule within the budgeted effort hours allotted.
  • A full understanding of the project scope and procedure.
  • Capable of mobilizing large & competent vendors / subcontractors.
  • Good presentation & communication skills.
